HISTORY

The name CALINGAG was derived from the name of a tree whose leaves and twig were used as spices for foods which are very rampant in the place. CALINGAG was once in sitio of nabuslot several years ago but, they were given independence of the first term of the Municipal Mayor. Dominador Madrid in 1950.

 

Even Sitio CALINGAG organixed own sets of barangay officials. It was first headed by Mr. Felimons Sena, having a total population of only 86 with 9 household. The topographical location of CALINGAG encourages settlers from the island of Marindue to permanently stayed in the place.
